What is a Company e-ID?

Under the new regulation, an e-ID is defined as a set of verified digital information that uniquely identifies an individual or organization in Vietnam’s digital environment. For companies, this means using a Company e-ID to verify their identity when carrying out online transactions with government agencies and accessing public administrative services.

The e-ID is managed through the VNeID mobile app, developed by the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

Who Needs to Register?

The requirement applies to:

  • Foreign organizations and companies operating in Vietnam
  • Vietnamese legal entities
  • Individuals conducting administrative procedures online

Each organization’s legal representative must hold a Level 2 e-ID account to initiate the registration for the company account.

Required Information for Foreign Companies

To register a company e-ID, the organization must submit:

  • Vietnamese name, abbreviation, and foreign name (if applicable)
  • Establishment date
  • Head office address
  • Tax code (if available)
  • Personal e-ID of the legal representative
  • Full name of the legal rep or head of the organization
  • Company logo (optional)

How to Register

Option 1 – Online:
The legal representative logs in to the VNeID app (with a valid Level 2 e-ID) and submits the application digitally.

Option 2 – In Person:
Submit Form TK02 directly at the identity management authority under the Ministry of Public Security.

Processing Time:

  • 3 working days: if all company data is already available in national databases.
  • Up to 15 working days: if additional data verification is required.

Once issued, the account must be activated within 7 days of notification.
