Join our rapidly expanding team. We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team in SEA (Vietnam).
Purpose and Scope
As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the existing business and new ventures, driving long-term financial planning including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and governance.
The CFO must have strong experience in M&A in renewable/energy industry.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
A. Strategy and Direction
- Lead, manage, coach the Finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Ensure succession planning to ensure business continuity
B. Lead Mid-term Strategic Business Planning & Support Growth
- Work with key functions for developing and rolling business plan with managing financial goals, facilitate high level decisions.
- Lead in fund raising efforts to support growth initiatives, optimize borrowing cost
- Lead finance and tax due diligence and negotiations on related finance and tax matters for M&A opportunities
- Provide finance and tax inputs to the Financial Memorandum for M&A opportunities
- Develop and deliver strategic financial initiatives to support growth agenda
- Lead finance and tax integration of the acquired businesses
C. Operational Management
- Establish and maintain effective operational processes and procedures.
- Monitor KPIs to track operational success
D. Management Financial Analysis:
- Manage the overall financial activities of the organizations control its financial resources and ensure that all financial transactions, systems, and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.
- Direct key departments in budget, finance, business planning and develop and provide financial information, plans and projections for Vietnam Renewables.
- Ensure timely and accuracy of all reports
E. Governance and Risk Management:
- Develop and implement robust financial policies, systems, and controls.
- Maintain governance code and policies of the Group and compliance to local laws and regulations
F. Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as JV partners, lenders (international and local), tax authorities, auditors, and provincial authorities.
- Manage internal stakeholders within the Group.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor/Master degree in Accounting/ Finance/Economic, CPA is preferable.
- At least 10 years of working experience as Head of Finance / Finance Director
- Knowledge of Accounting Policies and Internal Control Standards.
Skills/competencies & Preferred Characteristics
- English proficiency
- Excellent in excel and power point
- M&A & Project Financing experience
- Working experience with Tax authorities, local & international banks and Big 4 Accounting & Audit firms;
- Good interpersonal skills and abilities to communicate with all levels.
- Good exposure to accounting issues, corporate finance and financial modelling.
